This Algonquin style Rawhide Rattle is an authentic Canadian native made craft. This type of rattle was traditionally used by the medicine man to ward off bad spirits or to invoke good spirits. These traditional rattles are made of rawhide and natural driftwood handles. Decorated with leather lace, beads and feathers. Each rattle is individually made and hand painted or plain with a clear varnish. No two are alike. Average length is 8 – 10″
